Membership and Donations

When you join NAMI Humboldt, you automatically gain membership in NAMI National and NAMI California. You receive their "Connection" publication, as well as our own local newsletter. Your membership adds valuable heft and voice to the cause of improving the system of mental-health care both nationally and locally. Indeed, there are other benefits to membership but these you will discover and develop for yourself.

Annual membership dues:

• $40 for an individual
• $60 for Household
• $5 for An "Open Door" special rate for limited-income persons

Most dues are collected in January & early February each year. However, dues--& donations to help with our special projects--received at any season are equally welcome. Memberships expire a year from the end of the quarter during which they were received.

Donations

We gratefully accept donations and memorials in remembrance of a friend or loved one. As we stated earlier, we are an all volunteer Non-Profit 501c3 organization, therefore, all the funds we receive go into our programs, advocacy issues, education, etc., for the families as well as those with the brain disorders. We have no paid staff.

Donations are tax deductible; NAMI Humboldt is a non-profit with 501(c)(3) IRS status, and our EIN is 94-2665681.

Please make checks payable to NAMI Humboldt & mail to NAMI Humboldt, P.O. Box 1225, Eureka, CA 95502.

NAMI Humboldt now has its own North Coast Co-op number, providing an easy way to contribute to our group. When you pay at the Co-op check-out counter and give the number 80022, they will credit NAMI Humboldt's account with your 1% donation. If you forget the number, it's no problem; the check-out person can look it up on a list.
